Featured/Feature Narrative
Up-and-coming comedians Kags, Joey and Dave make clear that life in the 'new' Johannesburg is not just about hardship and townships. It is also about finding humor in relationships, hanging out with friends and celebrating life on a raucous roadtrip to Oppi Koppi, South Africa's largest music festival.
Featured/Narrative Short
Two lifelong friends, Gene and Lenny spend their days drifting through alleyways, begging for change and surviving on the streets . When an opportunity arises that could change both of their lives, Gene begins to doubt Lenny's methods of survival. As their journey winds down to a close, Gene must make a decision that will drastically affect both his life and the life of his only friend.

Welcome to the River's Edge Film Festival 2009!
Celebrating our 5th year, the Rivers' Edge International Film Festival is a four day event built around the showing of quality independent film from around the world. Our focus is both on the film lover, providing multiple venues in which to experience the best the world of cinema has to offer, and on the film maker, offering opportunities for exhibition, education, and networking with contemporaries.
REIFF...one month away
It is that time of the year when Paducah starts to buzz with the anticipation of the River's Edge International Film Festival. The schedule is complete, filmmakers are making their plans to attend and the local film fans are marking their calendars to take time off from work to attend.

This is the fourth year, and the festival continues to grow. This year we are kicking off the festival with a South African film, 'Bunny Chow'. Directed by John Barker, 'Bunny Chow' is an edgy, urban comedy that beckons the viewers to envision South Africa through the eyes of its future, rather than the tragedy of its past.

'Bunny Chow' screens on August 14 at 6:00 at Maiden Alley Cinema. As the kick off, it is free to the public.
